What We Do
Education for Change is a non-partisan, non-profit organisation based in Tirana, Albania, working to promote sustainable and inclusive development through education, human capital development, community resilience, and institutional strengthening. Established in 2024, the organisation was created to address the growing need for practical, evidence-informed, and community-based solutions that support social cohesion, economic inclusion, democratic participation, and environmental sustainability in Albania and the Western Balkans.
The organisation contributes to strengthening communities and institutions by designing and implementing initiatives in education, youth empowerment, employability, social inclusion, climate and environmental awareness, cultural heritage, local economic development, and civic participation. Education for Change works closely with municipalities, schools, civil society organisations, youth groups, public institutions, and local communities to support long-term development aligned with Albania’s EU accession priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Through training, capacity building, policy dialogue, community mobilisation, and innovative local initiatives, the organisation promotes inclusive learning environments, active citizenship, gender equality, digital resilience, environmental responsibility, and sustainable community development. Education for Change applies participatory and partnership-based approaches, combining technical expertise, local engagement, and evidence-based methodologies to ensure measurable and sustainable impact.
The organisation is committed to transparency, safeguarding, equal opportunities, and local ownership, while supporting vulnerable groups, strengthening institutional cooperation, and empowering youth and women as active contributors to democratic and socio-economic development.
